Introduction

One script tag. Any website. Your visitors just speak to it.

Add Spelo to your site in one line

<script src="https://spelo.ai/spelo.js" data-site-id="YOUR_SITE_ID" async></script>

Paste it just before </body>. Every page gets a voice orb in the corner. Visitors click it, speak in plain English, and the AI:

  • Navigates the page, scrolls to sections, highlights items
  • Searches your database — products, services, FAQs, anything you connect
  • Fills forms by voice — bookings, contact forms, checkout
  • Answers questions about your content, with citations from your real pages

Audio goes directly from the visitor’s browser to OpenAI over WebRTC. It never touches Spelo servers.

What visitors can actually do

Ask, get spoken answers

“Do you take walk-ins on Saturday?” — Spelo reads the page, the schedule, and the FAQ before answering. Cited from your real content, not made up.

Search your inventory by voice

“Waterproof boots under $150 in size 10.” — Spelo queries your store database and filters results without a single click.

Fill forms hands-free

“Book the Saturday 7pm slot for 4 people, the name’s Patel.” — Spelo fills the reservation form and submits it.

Navigate the site

“Take me to the refund policy.” — Spelo scrolls, navigates, and highlights the right section. Works across SPAs and static sites.

Design principles

  • Short pages. Every page answers one question.
  • Real code. Every snippet is copy-pasteable and correct for today’s API.
  • Honest limits. Where a feature doesn’t work (SPAs without hydration, non-HTTPS origins, iframes), we say so up front.
  • Security by default. All data adapters are read-only. Credentials never reach the browser.

Who maintains this

Spelo is built by a small team that uses it on every site we ship. If something here is wrong or missing, open an issue on GitHub or email docs@spelo.ai. We triage daily.
