Do I need to know code?
No. The plugin handles injection, settings, and updates. If you can install a plugin, you can install Spelo.
Does it conflict with caching plugins?
No. The widget loads async after the page renders, so WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache, LiteSpeed, and Cloudflare all work fine.
Can it read private or password-protected content?
By default, no — it reads only what a logged-out visitor can see. You can optionally allow logged-in content per role.
Is the plugin GPL-licensed?
Yes. The WordPress plugin itself is GPLv2-compatible. The hosted voice service runs under the Spelo terms of service.
