AI movie dubbingMovie dubbing that keeps every performance.

Spelo dubs feature films from any language into 90+ languages. It reads the whole film first, gives every character one consistent voice, performs each line the way the actor did and keeps the film's own sound.

One scene, up to two minutes, in one target language.

Short, tense lines are the hardest to dub. The Hindi ("hilna mat") has to fit the same half-second and keep the fear, and the gasp that follows is the actor's own.

What makes a feature film hard to dub

A two-hour film can have well over a thousand lines and dozens of characters. Small mistakes add up.

  • Consistency across two hours

A character whose voice changes after an hour, or whose name is spelled three ways, breaks the film.

  • Performances, not readings

Films are carried by delivery: a whisper, a breaking voice, a line thrown away.

  • A finished mix

The score, effects and crowd are already mixed with the dialogue. A dub must not damage them.

  • Release dates

Every language version has to be ready when the film releases in that market.

How Spelo dubs a film

  • It reads the whole film first

Spelo builds a brief from the full script: who each character is, how they address each other and how names are spelled.

  • One voice per character

Characters are matched by voiceprint across every scene. A voice can be modelled on the original actor's, where you hold the rights, or picked from a large voice library.

  • The film's sound stays

Voices are separated from the mix. The score, effects and crowd are the original; real laughs, gasps and sobs are kept.

  • A dubbing director's tools

Your team reviews every line in the Spelo Studio and re-voices any single line in seconds.

Questions

Does Spelo do lip sync?

Spelo times every line to the original line, the way most TV and streaming dubs are cut. It does not change the picture.

Can it handle a full two-hour film?

Yes. It works through the film in short sections at natural pauses and keeps every character's voice the same across all of them.

Can we choose the voices?

Yes. Each character's voice can be changed for the whole film or for a single line, from a large library of voices in every language.

Can our dubbing director work in it?

That is what the Spelo Studio is for: translation, voice, emotion, timing, speed and volume are all editable, line by line.

Hear it on your own film.
